Other than Grey Squirrels & Mink, what other escaped species of wildlife are potentially harmful in the UK?

Wild Boar and European Catfish were both once natives to Britain so they aren't dangerous-just reintroduced. The same would apply to the 'alien big cats' if-as many people suspect-they are Lynx as they were natives too.

Grey Squirrels (and their more aggressive colour morph the black),Canada Geese (almost as big as a swan and bully smaller water birds).House Mice and Brown Rats-though they have been here hundreds of years- aren't native and compete with native mammals for food in some areas.

American Signal Crayfish-carry a disease that kills native crayfish.

Indian Ringneck Parakeets-escaped or were let go a few decades ago. There's now thousands of them in southern England. They are big birds with powerful beaks and use this to bully other birds to dominate food supplies-especially in winter.

Terrapins have been introduced to the wild-people bought them as pets during the Teenage Mutant Hero Turtle craze and then let them go when they got too big. They aren't able to breed yet as Britain is too cold for that but they are able to survive our winters and all it would take is one very warm year for them to breed and they can afford to wait-like most reptiles they are long lived.Other than Grey Squirrels %26amp; Mink, what other escaped species of wildlife are potentially harmful in the UK?
American crayfish can now be found in many of the UK's waterways and are threatening the indigenous population of crayfish.

The American 'signal' crayfish is much more aggressive than the British equivalent and less fussy about food, so consequently is thriving in comparison. They also produce almost twice as many eggs.Other than Grey Squirrels %26amp; Mink, what other escaped species of wildlife are potentially harmful in the UK?
Parakeets - more aggressive when feeding and driving out native birds.

Wild boar

Alleged beast of Exmoor

Any of the raptors which associate humans with food.

Snapping turtles - not breeding yet, but surviving our winters.

';Personal favourite';, European catfish - capable of killing a swan. http://www.lochnessinvestigation.org/Cat鈥?/a>

American crayfish has been mentioned.
Black squirrels-they're now beginning to push out the grey squirrel population in some areas. They're more aggressive than both grey and red squirrels.
What the hell's wrong with people that they bring animals - WILD animals - over to this country and then let them loose on the countryside. They want tracking down and shooting with an irate gamekeeper's shotgun in my opinion!
American crayfish also spanish bluebells which are taking over from our native species.
American Signal Crayfish, bigger and meaner than our own varieties and taking over our waterways.

Taste good though!!
badgers , cockateals, cats, dogs .
ankle biting anus crabs
mind out for the whomegoole bird.
