What do I go about a grey squirrel coming in through the cat flap?

It's driving me wild - the cat flap doesn't lock and the cats seem to have decided the kitchen is big enough for them and the squirrel and just leave it alone. The squirrel is into anything edible I leave out, breaks crockery etc. What are the legal solutions please? I'm in the UK.What do I go about a grey squirrel coming in through the cat flap?
set a live trap and catch it ..(take kitty out of area first)

cook squirrel with dumplings and eat it's good.

you don't have to do the 2nd one if you don't like .What do I go about a grey squirrel coming in through the cat flap?
Apart from the 'normal' cat flap, some may be activated by a magnetic collar worn by your cat. If your cat is a bit adventurous, and you feel that will not work, there are others that will operate on the microchip in the cat (if it is 'chipped)

What does the legal solutions mean. Are you planning on taking the squirrel to court. My solution would be to get rid of the cat flap or get one that the cats collar can trigger to open.
Call in a pest control company. This animal will do a lot of damage in your house by chewing wires, pipes to washing machines etc.
next time it gets in block exits and call SPCA ,they will take care of it in a couple of hours job done did for me and hedgehog, good luck xx
slightly of topic, those of you who advocate poison make no mention of how you expect other animals not to eat it only the squirrel, the mind boggles
Block the cat door for a while. And put out poison for the squirrel.
kick it very hard.
Poison. Or lock the cat flap.

Nail in the right place will lock it.
Change the flap or shoot the squirrel they are classed as vermin.

And can be quite tasty too!
Do not leave food out or crockery... or get the cat flap fixed. It is only trying to survive, after all.
Get a little slide lock on your catflap that is remotely activated, and a gun.

When squirrel comes in, lock that ****, and you have yourself an afternoon of hunting.

Pray to Jesus!
what harm can a grey squirrel do

invite the little ****** in for tea
