What do you prefer, Crows or Grey Squirrels ?

Thier is a family of grey squirrels and two crows fighting for the 'rights' to the tree in the back of my garden, who do you want to win? What do you prefer, Crows or Grey Squirrels ?
Classic case of a couple of radical breakaway branches trying to claim what is not rightly theirs even though they think it is. Lurking out of sight will be those more dangerous predators who will cease the opportunuty to tear the carcases of the losers apart. Just when either the crows of the greys think its all over, in will swoop the sparrowhawk to end the squabble once and for all. And then the little red squirrel might stand a chance in your garden. What do you prefer, Crows or Grey Squirrels ?
Squirrels should win.

Take the crows out.... I hate crows.
I will have to back the grey squirrels. Come on the squirrels! Kick some crow butt!
kill the crows i hate them big ugly things
I wouldn't worry about this too much. In less you are growing corn (of which crows crave) or the tree is nut-bearing (for the squirrels).

If you are worried about them destroying your garden, you can get traps to get the squirrels - humane or not. You can also get a low-powered BB gun or slingshot for the crows. (Don't shoot at them or at other buildings. Shoot over them if you get a BB gun.)
crows
I've never eaten a crow, but squirrels are delicious!
the crows (should be rooks, as that is the plural of crow) are quite tasty braised long and slow in red wine with shallots and some cepes or morel's, young grey squirrels are very tasty simply grilled with some butter lemon juice and chopped parsley, older squirrels are nice roasted with chestnuts.mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

rough shoot game
plant another tree....but i like the squirrels
Squirrels taste much better
Don't worry squirrels are pretty tough and will probably win. I have squirrel feeders and watch them face down cats and I mean down right in their faces. Blue jays don't even stand a chance. I love crows too but they will give up first they are'nt as territorial.
Squirrels are more fun to watch, with their neurotic excentricities...
Go Squirrels! or you could teach them the value of sharing. (Yeah Right!)
Grey squirrels are hard! They are also cute and they are also vermin. (Good word!)
Get some napalm and take them all that. Mothernutters.
I live in a wood. Squirrels are constantly in the trees behind us, %26amp; down the road is a rookery that is several hundred years old. I have never noticed a conflict, except, I suppose, the squirrel will try to nick the eggs! Let nature take its course. Man interferes enough.
Grey squirrels taste better than crows so I would shoot them for the pot.

Like many things from America the aggressive grey squirrel is an unwanted pest in this country and every opportunity should be taken to destroy it, thereby giving our native Red Squirrel a chance of survival.
The crows. Them pesky tree rats are nothing but trouble. They'll damage the lovely tree, and steal eggs from any birds nests. Not to mention the fleas they leave around to suck your blood. Get a squirrel trap then they'll be nice and fresh for the pot. Yum.
Nature has it's own way of resolving these matters, survival of the fittest!

It's not happening in human society anymore because all the do-gooders have made it illegal to use your brain if the person you are talking to hasn't got one!
I feel sorry for Crows coz I think they get a bit of a raw deal as they aren't cute and cuddly. We have a grey squirrel in the garden who is so sweet and yet they are considered vermin. We also have a large crow who despite his size is very timid compared to the starlings who carry on scrapping over the food I leave even if I'm in the garden. But back to your dilemma. Both parties are entitled to the rights of you tree and I don't really think you should intervene but let the best creatures win.
I like both of them, but as grey squirrels have caused the heavy loss of red squirrel troops, I'm going to back the crows in this little scuffle! Tell them all to sit down over a nice bowl of nuts and sort out a branch-sharing scheme or summat lol!
