Biology .... Squirrel relocation: how far will a grey squirrel be able to find its way back?

I built a ';live'; trap and I caught the squirrel that was raiding my bird-feeders and let it go about 10 miles away. Was that enough? Or can I expect it back in a few days? Thanks.Biology .... Squirrel relocation: how far will a grey squirrel be able to find its way back?
Ten miles is fine. No, it wont be back. Yes, you do have the right to capture and relocate animals such as gray squirrels when it becomes a pest. I believe as you do, bird food is for birds, not squirrels or chipmunks or mice or any other non bird animal. Just be careful where you release the animal. Sometimes people get upset when someone dumps pest critters on their property.Biology .... Squirrel relocation: how far will a grey squirrel be able to find its way back?
Stop picking on those poor, innocent ickle squirrels! If the bird feed is good enough for the birds, it's good enough for the squirrels too. If you want to make sure the birds get their fair share of grub, then put out a separate squirrel feeder.
