Is there a grey squirrel hunting season in the uk?

grey squirrels are classed as vermin so have no closed season.

Save a red, eat a grey!Is there a grey squirrel hunting season in the uk?
OakieRoadhunter got it.

My sources (1) say gray squirrels are listed as a nuisance species in the UK, mainly because they're killing off the native red squirrels. Provided you're shooting on your own land or lands that you have permission to shoot on, you should be able to shoot grey squirrels year round. Is there a grey squirrel hunting season in the uk?
NO. They are classified as vermin and can be hunted year 'round. Only reds and blacks are protected.
