Recently a grey squirrel has appeared in my garden and i think it is nesting in a tree?

I know they are vermin and am worried that there may be more of them and what to do if they get into the loft, what should i do (when i first moved into my house there was evidence of old rodent droppings, but nothing since, i have chopped down any trees that where too close to the house)Recently a grey squirrel has appeared in my garden and i think it is nesting in a tree?
if you want to get rid of them on a permanent basis most feed stores have grain with poison in it that kills all rodents and they die in thier nests. ground squirrels were eating my garden and thats how I got them gone.Recently a grey squirrel has appeared in my garden and i think it is nesting in a tree?
It's a little early for them to be nesting, more than likely woke from a winter nap to do a little foraging. I've never had trouble with grey's living in my buildings, they seem to prefer the highest limbs in the tallest tree. It's there little red cousins that seem to like my attic. No sense in nuking the place with poison when all you have to do is block all the holes in the attic with screen mesh or a board. RScott
If you leave any poison seeds out desirable animals will get into it, like birds. In some places it's illegal to trap and move squirrels. Make sure all outside cracks in your place are sealed and it's just a squirrel, they migrate, it's most likely there for the winter and they eat acorns and other pesty things that tend to pop up. They are also food for hawks, owls, weasels and other such things. I wouldn't be too concerned with squirrels.
i agree with r scott these animals nest in the highest part of a tree and unlike red squirrel they don't like people so much as to live in our house with us just block the holes near the top of the house attic vents and the entrance of wires if you can put screen wire over hem fill them with steel wool and fill it up with tuff stuff foam use the blue can it has stuff in it that taste bad and they will not chew it reither will rats by the way it tastes nasty to them
go to a sporting goods store and get a shot gun. that's the end to that problem :)
whatever leave the squirrels alone
Call Citizens Advice or the local cops, they 'should' be able to advise you.
What`s it going to harm? There are squirrels everywhere. Should we just kill everything!
i suggest you call 911. this is an emergency
